Hello Everyone and welcome to your very own world-famous Jungle Cruise Living Room! If you’re a huge fan of the punny and funny boat ride through the exotic rivers of the world, then this is the design for you. I have a very corny sense of humor so this is obviously one of my favorite rides at the Disney Parks. My kids…tolerate my desire to ride it every trip. Now let’s get our voyage underway! Better turn and take one last look at the dock- you may never see it again!

Color Scheme and Mood

Colors: Deep brown wood tones, cream and beige, pops of orange

Mood: Traveled and Worldly with some funkiness mixed in.

Staging Level Design Ideas

Furniture

The sofa is the heart of any living room and I love this modular sofa in a burnt orange color. The color creates a focal point for your room and calls back to the rusty orange hues in the Jungle Cruise boats and cue. There are several different arrangements for this sofa to choose from. I personally love this L shaped set up and you can move the ottoman to the seat you want to use it with.

I am a big believer in mixing and matching furniture pieces in different colors and materials to create a lot of interest in the room. For this design, I loved these tufted, genuine leather club chairs. The deep brown color pulls in the dark wood of the cue and a distinguished old world look. These chairs have an awesome nailhead detailing which increases the interest and character of the pieces. You have the option to buy just one or the pair.

The side tables for this design bring in SO much of that Jungle cruise character. These trunk style end tables have vintage strap style trim as well as rustic metal accents. The nailheads connect back to the nailheads in the club chairs in the space. The best part about these end tables is the three-yes THREE storage drawers in each table! Think of all the remotes you can store in these bad boys! Like the club chairs, these can be bought in quantities of 1 or 2 depending on how you want to use them in your space. I love the look of putting these tables on either side of the burnt orange sofa.

One thing there never seems to be enough of in any house is storage and this beautiful media stand helps provide more storage options for you in this Jungle Cruise Living room. The wood carving detail and deep espresso stain color on this piece make me swoon! Again, style is nothing without function. This media stand has 4 cabinet doors and an interior shelf to hide and store all your electronics. It also can hold up to a 75 inch TV.

I just couldn’t help myself with this piece. This is our first animal detailing of our design. This funky elephant accent table is not only gorgeous but pulls in one of my favorite parts of the Jungle Cruise ride. I love the idea of pairing this accent table with the club chairs since the metal of the elephant legs will pull in the nailhead features again from the chairs.

For our last furniture piece, I can’t believe how cool this globe bar cabinet is! If you love to entertain or just want a dedicated small area to hide away your special elixirs, this is the perfect addition to this living. It brings in the worldly, vintage charm of the ride but without taking up a lot of space. You have the option to store items inside the globe portion or on the lower shelf space. It also comes on castor wheels so you can easily move it from area to area.

Soft Goods

This area rug brings another pop of that deep burnt orange color and some fun exotic pattern to our space, making it feel like you are off to another part of the world! I love how it plays off the couch color and the shape of the media center doors! This rug comes in a variety of sizes and has a built-in non-slip backing. Depending on the size you get, it can be machine washed too-a very important feature when traveling all the wild rivers on the Jungle Cruise.

The accent pieces are really my favorite parts of this design. Starting with this super cozy Tiger throw pillow, which brings in another one of our favorite animal friends from our adventure. The sherpa cover texture brings some level of interest and this pillow is a great size at 20×20 inches. Perfect for snuggling… if you are brave enough to snuggle a tiger that is.

If you are someone that loves a fluffy blanket when you are curled up on the couch, this is the perfect throw for your Jungle Cruise themed space. Adding a wild, animal element with the faux fur, the rich brown ombre feels pulls into the rug and the other smoky brown tones of the space. It is available in 2 sizes-regular and oversized. I love the Bare brand (#notanad) for blankets. We have a bed blanket from them and it is the best fluffy blanket to sleep with! Highly recommend.

Accent and Decor Pieces

Of course your Jungle Cruise themed living room wouldn’t feel very lush without at least one tree to bring some green and life to the space. This faux ferrgoal tree is such a great deal! It comes in 3 sizes up to 6 ft and the shape of the tree gives you lots of foliage for a single unit. It also comes with a woven basket to cover the tree base and add an additional worldly touch to the design. It is also available in a 2 unit option if you want even more of that jungle plant feel in the design.

One of my favorite parts of Jungle Cruise is the rhino chasing the explorers up the totem pole. Though I have been on that ride a dozen times, it still makes me giggle. These brass rhino bookends pay tribute to that classic silly scene on the ride.

If you love the idea of a little shine to your space, I found a more gold set of rhino head bookends as well. Both are linked here.

The monkeys are often causing trouble amongst the jungle’s edge during our journey. This monkey table lamp brings in a subtle nod to those playful and silly scenes. The color of the amber glass in the umbrella ties into the orange tones of the couch and the rug.

We have finally come to the eighth wonder of the world-THE BACK SIDE OF WATER! This beautiful waterfall canvas is a great deal for a large focal art piece for this Jungle Cruise living room. It has 2 size options for focal art.

Structure Level Design Ideas

If you are interested in taking this design to the next level, here are a couple of products that you can add at a more structural level to elevate the design.

This wallpaper is absolutely stunning and brings so much interest into the space while adding another nod to one of our jungle natives, the crocodile. This is a textured, peel and stick wallpaper allowing you to remove the product with little to no wall damage if you want to change it up in the future.

If you want to bring our favorite mischievous monkeys into the design in another way, I love this playful monkey chandelier. It includes five lights and is easy to install to your ceiling mount lighting box. It is definitely a conversation piece!

Conclusion

This was such a fun room to bring together and gave me a little bit of that punny joy while I am waiting for our next Disney trip! Jungle Cruise will be down temporarily for refurbishment during our next trip so I am sad that we won’t get to ride it this time around. Guess I will just need to recite the jokes myself and I am sure it will be a great reenactment to my family (sarcasm). And now, probably the most dangerous part of our journey- the return to civilization! I certainly hope you’ve enjoyed our cruise!
